The Idea
Due to the Lockdown in Germany,
we were wondering if there was any possibility of doing something together safely. Suddenly someone said, that we should go to a car cinema. Everyone liked the idea, but when we looked we found out, that there wasn’t really a public car cinema close by. I noticed that I had an old projector and a lorry battery with an Inverter, so I thought why not do it yourself?
How I did it
I charged up the old lorry lead acid battery and connected it to a Inverter. I plugged the Projector and Laptop into the 240V I got from there, and connected them both with HDMI and placed it on my windshield. We hung the screen between two trees. To transmit the Audio I used an old CE compliant FM transmitter taped to my roof. We communicated through walkie talkies.
