Shooting Day

In September my old school requested for me to create a promotional film for them, that would be used to gain new students as all physical events were cancelled. I had already finished school at that point, but decided to ask friends if they wanted to help. We sat together for 2 days and made our shot-list until we got the heads up, that it would be okay for us to start filming. As soon as we got the notice, I packed my gear and set off.

Editing

Following the import and organisation, I started editing the video. My friends watched me edit through video sharing in discord. The audio from DaVinci was routed back to Discord using Loopback, so they could also hear what I was doing.

Release & Social

Our school didn’t have a youtube account, so I was given permission to create one for them. I took a still from the drone footage, blurred it a bit and made it their banner. I then split the video into sections using the timecode scene splitting built into youtube. Keep in mind that comments and several other features are disabled as this video needs to be tagged as “Made for Kids”.
