Intro / Project & Idea
As part of the Design Aesthetics and Perception semester, we were tasked with redesigning the window display and entrance for Brand Mission, a sustainable fashion store in Haarlem.
After exploring several concepts from kinetic installations to natural elements we refined the idea into something simple, adaptable, and visually striking: a modular display system that lets the garments take center stage while reinforcing the brand’s environmental values.
Result
The final concept combined flexibility, sustainability, and sensory appeal. The modular shelving mimics the softness of clouds, the interactive lighting draws attention even after closing hours, and the laser-cut mannequin offers a sculptural, eco-friendly alternative to traditional retail figures.
Each element was designed to evolve with the seasons from the lighting color palette to interchangeable display components: allowing the brand to keep its storefront fresh without rebuilding it.
The project was well received for balancing aesthetics and practicality, offering Brand Mission a low-impact, high-visibility solution that highlights its commitment to conscious design and adaptive storytelling in retail spaces.
