From concept to print creating a unified yearbook, jumper, and replacement prom identity during the pandemic.
Intro / Project & Idea
For our graduation year, every student could submit ideas for a theme. After collecting and refining suggestions through Typeform polls, our class chose a concept that I translated into a visual identity for the yearbook.
The committee behind the publication selected my proposed design, and I went on to develop a full InDesign layout system for the book’s structure from cover to section dividers. Each student received a dedicated page featuring their portrait, a description written by friends, and a “boarding pass” with fun personal details. I also helped in capturing the portraits.
Result
The final printed yearbook became a lasting document of our class and a creative collaboration across the school. Despite the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to complete and distribute it successfully: providing a sense of closure and connection in a year marked by distance.
In addition to the yearbook, I also designed our graduation jumper and prom tickets. The jumper design was embroidered for durability and long-term use, while the prom materials carried the same visual theme even though the event was ultimately cancelled due to lockdowns.
Through this project, I learned to combine graphic design, coordination, and storytelling to create something that felt personal and shared, a foundation that still informs my approach to visual identity today.
